Tinsel Triathlon 2009 (Page 2)

I really hope the rain holds sout.  We are coming from 29 Palms.  We are bringing a friend of ours who has never done a tri before so I'm hoping he has a really great time.  I'm bringing my 8 month old and it looks like we may have to watch verything from the car.

Be very thankful we swim last. Jumping in the very warm pool at the end was great but I had no interest in actually finishing because the water felt so good.

I didn't find a baby sitter, so alas I won't be making it. The weather has taken some of the edge of my sadness about not racing... But for sure next year.

The race was packed and there was no rain.  I wanted to sign up for the 5k today, but it was $60
That is ridicuolus.  For $5 more dollars a few weeks ago I could have done the tri.  Why is the 5k so expensive?

Great race. Tons of fun. I'll be back next year.

This race is a fundraiser for the United Way, that might explain some of the higher cost.

Yeah, I now it was cheaper to sign up earlier.  Unfortunatley, with my husbands schedule I had to wait until the last minute for this one.
