Rocky Gap Training Laps

The company I work for had a two-day meeting at Rocky Gap Lodge near Flintstone, MD this week... this is the location of the Xterra EX2 Rocky Gap Triathlon every year in early July. During the afternoons I got to ride my trail bike on the lake loop and the campground trail that makes up the race course ... trail is in good condition ... just a reminder for everyone that this place, although a little remote ... is a great spot to train your mountain bike riding . It's easy enough for beginners to groom skills; aerobic enough to get a good endorphin buzz going; and tecnical enough to keep the experts interested. Great venue for an Xterra race, too. (No shill here... I just like this spot). And you can catch the 46 mile out-n-back flat Western Maryland Rail Trail on your way back to eastern Maryland on the way home.
