Subject: RE: Cycling/Tri Stores in KC Made it to Elite today. Very well stocked and definitely tri-oriented. I got some pointers for getting the most out of my mountain bike, and got visually sized up for general bike sizes. I also got to try out a couple of different trainers. I hadn't had a good close look at any aero bars so I didn't know I had mine on backwards, or that I could change bolt tension to get my saddle angle pointing down instead of up. (Can ya tell I'm new to this?) Also thought the selection of gels and bars etc was great. I had never come across GUs before, much less had so many flavors to pick from. I bought some GUs and Chomps and Shot Bloks. I felt a little intimidated by all the expensive bikes and the selection of items I wont need for a while, but the selection was quite impressive, with items in stock that I have never seen in person, but read about all the time. Very helpful and friendly. No pressure to buy anything, and free advice given with a smile. Highly recommended. |
