Subject: RE: FS: 2006 ORBEA ORDU PEOPLE, there's soooo much more than BB to top sizing when you're shedding more than $500 on a bike, especially when u can't return it. If you have to settle for a used bike ($$$ !!! ) and are going to ask for current rider's measurements, you'll at least need inseam as well as torso lengths. Also the crank length on the bike and the stem length. The stem is easy to change and fix, but you want the right stem size for that frame. meaning you don't want a 110 stem (long ) on a 51 frame. Is the frame compact or std (slopping top tube vs horizontal ), etc. The best thing is to test ride a bike that size and brand at LBS and then decide. I promote reselling equipment, but your bike is a key component of this sport and there are many variables, make it easier on you. You don't want to run in M10 shoes when you are supposed to wear W8.5, right? I am sure there is someone out there for this beautiful and relative bargain of a bike out there. I am looking for one for my daughter but in a much lower price bracket. Good luck! |
