So I just found this website that offers a starter kit...an advice as to if this is a good deal or not?

I am not familiar with the bike, but that sure looks like a good price for all that gear. You should consider upgrading the wetsuit to a full suit.  I think the base model is sleeveless, and I find that most open water swims, I want full sleeves.

Good luck!

Decent price for everything but the sora/2200 components are less desireable on bike

It's an ok deal, but I think you could actually do better with some careful shopping around.

The big issue the way I see it is, you have are basically buying a bike that you have no clue if it will actually fit good or not... Scott and Felt are both bikes that traditionally have longer top tubes, which may work for you, or it may not...

Plus, I would recommend trying to get Shimano 105 (or Campy Centaur) on the bike, or at least for the shifters and rear derailleur. The front derailleur is less importand to upgrade, brakes will work just fine and the crankset is decent.
