Comments: Very humid (93%), but temperature was nice. Only one slight bottle-neck at the first (and only) little rooty downhill. I wish more people would kamikaze down those like I do...had to go off trail to avoid running over a few people. Course was likely a little bit short due to moving the start line a bit to accommodate the slower half marathon runners who hadn't yet cleared the area by starting time. My friend's Garmin indicated 2.93 miles. What would you do differently?: Plan to do the race in advance. I'm thinking about the half mary or 30k next year. Post race
Warm down: Couple hours of mountain biking. What limited your ability to perform faster: Sore left foot, not really trying. I didn't decide to do the race until the we got there, so I'm happy with the result. Event comments: Good for a 5K. If I were doing any of the longer distances, I'd definitely have my Camelbak on. And where were the beans and rice from the Picnic Island races? Breakfast food sounds nice, but it was lunchtime before the longer runners were finished. Last updated: 2009-11-22 12:00 AM

One slice of cold pizza from the refrigerator. Met Cville in Brandon, loaded my bike into his truck and we drove to the park.
Walk to registration, walk back.
