Pre-race routine:

I was up at 5:30 so I could eat breakfast, have a cup of coffee and let the contents sit in my stomach for a bit to prepare my digestive system. A very good thing I did and something I will repeat for the half marathon.

Comments:

I ran with two friends and we kept a very solid pace throughout. After the pack found their positions between miles 2 and 3 we passed other folks but were not passed by anyone else. All three of us handled the hills no problem.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing, I was quite pleased with my performance and how I felt before, after and during.
