Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 4. Got up at 5. Ate a slice of leftover pizza. Was at American Airlines Center just after 6 a.m.

This was a great run for me. I was never really out of breath and felt perfectly fine for first 7 miles. By ninth mile (uphill) I was feeling a bit tired. Mile 10 seemed to last forever. Then we got on the Katy Train with 3 miles (5 K) to go and I knew I could run it out. Despite my hopes to the contrary, I was not able to pick up the speed much in the final mile.
What would you do differently?:

Post race
Warm down:

Got my medal, t-shirt, heat blanket, took post-race photo, picked up bag, then found my car and left. (I had to get back to the hotel to take a shower before noon checkout.)

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Starting in E Wave. It was very slow with all the walkers. With this time I can probably "cat up" next time.
