Subject: Stay on Target, Stay on Target!
So, last summer I did my first and only Triathlon. I did the Boulder Peak, an Oly in Boulder Colorado. I chose it because it was close to home and longer than a sprint. I felt like I could pull it off and it would motivate me to get off my but!

Long story short, I did not train much for it at all. Before the day of, I had run 54 miles, biked like 700 miles and swam about 4.5 hours. The swim and the bike were fine. The run was terrible.

I had planned to not be a Clyde, but I did not train much and was a solid 205 the day of. The people there were awesome. Susan Williams came in second at this event before her bronze a in Athens. I got in at 3:20 with a 70 minute 10 K.

Again long story short, I have been training like crazy. I am currently at 700 miles for the year biking. I am currently at over 40 hours of swimming for the year. I am currently at nearly 200 miles of running for the year. Most important, I am under 180 for the first time in a really long time (can you say sophmore year of college).

I am so looking forward to the Boulder peak this year! I plan on doing *much* better. Just 6+ weeks left in the training plan and I am there.

I just wanted to share! No other point there. See you training!

Jek Porkins
Call letters: Red 6
Played by: Bill Houtkins

I'm pathetic

Oh I've been having focus problems. I'm doing my first tri this July so I'm so close and have been so motivated all year, and now in that last few weeks I can't get excited! What to do?!

Judging by your avatar picture, I'm not surprised.

Though I have to admit, I read the subject and immediately thought of Renee for some strange reason...  ( Hi Renee! ).

Way to kick up the training.  I can't wait to hear how much faster you are this year.
