Any body use one to keep up with cardio when they can't get out for a run, I do not have a treadmill so I use mine regular when i need to. I love the work out it gives me and my run fitness is not any worse for it when i do get back out.

A guy I know bought one of these used to supplement his swimming.  He's not a triathletle but active in other sports and its replaced his elliptical and treadmill he used to use.  He says the thing is a great workout.  He used to run so I assumed that's in relative comparison to running.

I had a love/hate relationship with the versa-climber. It hurt me in the beginning, but the more I used it the better I felt. My only problem was my feet seemed to go to sleep. I do not have any equipment at the house nor does my current gym have the versa-climber, but I would buy it if I had the extra money and I would recommend it.

I have one, but have not used it much lately.  My run is my weakness, so I have been sticking to the treadmill, and trying to keep my HR lower.  I read some from Mark Allen that he got faster when he kept his HR lower and ran slower for a while.  Versa Climber and low HR do not go together.

I am following Jorge's winter plan for the bike, there again it is interval training, so my body just can't handle the Versa at this point.  It is interesting that it would help swimming, but I could see that.

I don't know how much it good it will do for running, but your fitness will certainly increase. When I was in the Navy we used one when we were out to sea, and it earned the nickname "Man Killer." Happy Climbing!

I love the Versa Climber.  I worked at a gym that had one and used it up to about 8 months pregnant with #3.  My husband and I would love to buy one for our home but they are so pricey!  I like that you get a great workout and it doesn't take up much space.
