Comments: Really pushed myself during this race. Fatigue was starting to set in as I was completing the first lap and I jokingly pondered turning in and stopping at 5K, but I pushed on. There were a few times that my pace slowed a little on the second lap and it really took a lot of mental toughness to keep on pushing. I didn't have any cramping whatsoever and my legs felt great the whole race. My goal was to come in under 40:00 minutes which I obviously achieved. What would you do differently?: Not too much. Warm down: Found my dad right after the race and just walked back to the car, which was actually pretty far away. What limited your ability to perform faster: I don't really think I had any limiters. Event comments: This was a fun, well organized race. I had a lot of fun and I'm really happy with my results. Last updated: 2009-12-29 12:00 AM

My Dad and I road together and thought we were getting the race with plenty of time, but when we got close, we were both overwhelmed with how many people were there. He dropped me off close and went to park the car while I signed us up for the race.
Did a very short warm up run of maybe a 1/3 of a mile or so.
