So, the Shamrock Half sold out before I got my lazy self around to registering.  Wondering if anyone has a bib and can't race for any reason that I could buy?

So I have not trained for this race so I am  going to join the 2:15 pace group. Anyone going to be in that group?

I'm looking for the 2:15 group for the first few miles as well.... I'll see how I feel after that Laughing   This was a tough training year for sure!

I'm going to try to stay up with the 2:00 pacer.  If I fall back to the 2:15 I'll be okay with that too.  I just want to finish without walking.

It was fun, but man, they needed more porta potties at the start.   The lines were brutal and I never was able to get through the crowd to the 2:15 pacer, so I hung with the 2:30 group.  I thought maybe it would thin out a bit and I could push it to catch up to the 2:15's, but I never did.  The 2:30 group was fun so I stayed there.  I just wanted to beat 2:30, I did, so I'm good with that.

Beautiful day for the run! this is probably one of the nicest Shamrocks I have run weather wise.  Ran well enough for a training run. Just never felt ready for the race but even with the calf cramping up at 8 it came out ok, not my best by far but overcoming the mental part and keeping the calf from really going wonkey I consider this a good finish.  Focusing on the Swamp Stomp 1/2 in 4 weeks to lay down a much better time.

Great job to everyone who ran!

I also wanted to run the half but it was sold out so early so I ran the full.  Although I hit my wall just before the climb on shore drive, and started cramping because of the heat I had a blast and finished with a smile on my face despite not breaking my goal of 4 hours!
