Pre-race routine:

Race started at 9:30AM so was able to wake up at a resonable hour. This was nice!

Had my normal whole wheat bagel with Peanut butter and cup of coffee.

Event warmup:

Parked at finish area and walked the mile or so to the start area. Did some stretching. To cold to move well!

Comments:

Started extremely strong and then had some GI issues around the 3.5 mile mark. Tried to force a vomit and it just wasn't happening. Ran the last 2.5 miles pretty uncomfortable.

Course was well marked and a lot of fun. 12,500 runners so it was packed.

What would you do differently?:

Not sure what caused my GI problem? so really can't even say?

Post race

Warm down:

Tempo run to the Port-a-potty. Then got some sports drink and a few bananas and found my wife and friends.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

my belly

Event comments:

Very organized and the post race activities were many. Got to hang out with a big ass Steer - now who wouldn't like that!

Course:	Started at Bayou Place and finished in the Minute Made Stadium parking lots. Overpass of I-59 was a surprisingly steep uphill. Didn't see that coming. All the streets were blocked off so it was very nice!
