Less than 4 weeks to show time. Has anyone swam in the lake yet?

I'm glad someone started this thread. This is my first tri of the year! My GFs family is from Charleston and I love the city!

I live in the ATL and don't know about the lake.

Hmmmm...no word on the lake.  Maybe the gators got 'em.

Anyone know about the run?  Is there any shade or should I expect to bake the entire time?

I'm getting excited about the race.  I've had some training setbacks, but still feel very prepared.

Sorry -- don't know the answers to the questions.  My guess is: be prepared to bake.

I'm guessing with the relatively cool weather lately that the swim will be wetsuit legal.  Anybody with local knowledge here?

6 days and enjoying my taper. Broke my aero-bars last week and had to ride my old aluminum frame bikes a few times. I might even be faster on the aluminum frame. I'm sure the water temp is going to be barely legal. There was an update on the alligator situation on the Tri-Charleston web site. Sounds like it was mostly media hype to sell papers. Good luck to everyone.
