At the risk of looking like a pre-pubescent teenager, I will reluctantly admit that I am hooked on reality TV.  That said, I watch the Real World/Road Rules Challenge.  Last night was the finale, where the teams do the Super big challenge for the big cash.  This year, it was a Triathlon, with a 2km Row, 10km bike, and 5k run.  May I just say WEAK!  These young, lithe, virile kids were dropping like flies!  Then again, I guess if I drank that much alcohol and tried to complete a Tri, it would be tough.

Anybody else watch it?

Mel

My wife is totally addicted to the all of those MTV Real World/Road Rules/Young, Good- Looking Drunks Arguing type reality shows. (Does this belong in the "Confessions" thread?)

I've always thought that A) Some of the challenges look like fun and B) I could kick all their asses in 95% of the events.

One of my photos was used in the MTV Real World Philadelphia house

Here it is.

I have to say that I'd never seen the show before. I watched a couple of episodes this season. While it was exciting to see my work on TV, I was kinda embarrassed by the show itself.

I guess not too embarassed to toot my own horn.

Guilty, RR/RR challeges and RR are my weakness, I never miss them.  My husband is even more into it than I am.  Other than these two lame shows, I really don't watch too much TV.

That said, the entire time I watched the final challenge, I kept saying to my husband....I could do that!  I could totally do that!  Anyway, you're right, they are all spoiled kids who need to just get out into the real world.  But I doubt that will ever happen, we have a bet that certain members will just keep reappearing on the challenges for the next 20 years.  And suckers like me will keep watching for the drama.

I know this is an old thread, but I watched this last week, and couldn't believe what a bunch of pansies they were. I will admit that the good duys had a better team mentality, and that is why they won, but when you have somebody saying their legs already "burn" 2 minutes into a 10 k bike ride, sweetie, you do not know the concept of burn in regards to what I feel.
I understand that the normal 20 something wouldn't do very well at a tri untrained and all, but this wasn't even sprint distance. These people were doing all sorts of physical challenges for the previous 3 months, so they have to be in some kind of shape.
Did anyone see the old lady in the "Rascal" pass the bad guys on the run though? ;-)
