I place 2nd in my AG (M 35 - 39) in a sprint today!  I feel great and I am hungry for more podiums.  I was going in hoping to make top 10 so to this is an unexpected result for me.  3 years ago I did  my first triathlon and was last in my AG.  So to everyone just getting started keep at it and you will be pleasantly surprised at how much you can progress.

No way, I want 1st!!!  I haev to get my run better and then its on .  I am a little disappointed that I got a coffee mug and not a trophey or medal.  It does make all of the training seem like its worth it though.

Great job, post your times for the rest of us.  If you are really fast we can stay away from events you are in or if you are really slow we can sign up to race against you.Wink

AWESOME!, I as well recently got on the podium in an off road duathlon, 2nd place. Was totally shocked and it has pushed me to train harder, smarter and given all of the pain and suffering context.

Again, awesome accomplishment and keep it up!

The coffee mug is easier to show off than a medal.  Just drink everything out of it and wait to explain how you won it.  Congrats on the podium.

Awesome job.  I remember my first.  Figured it would be when I was 50 or so.  Guess I was about 17 years early.  Enjoy the feeling and keep raising the bar...

Great Job!

Every race I go to I'm going to carry champagne; and if I win my AG I'm spraying the crowd (all 6 of them lol) from the podium like I'm Fabian Cancellara at Roubaix!

The overall winner is going to look at this coffee mug and think, 'this is bs, I won, where's my champagne'.

Call it showboating but I've learned to may the best of the great moments in my life.

Exactly,  tell everyone "It's a major award!"

Congrats!
