Swim
Transition 1

Comments: Wish I pushed a little harder on the out. Thought it was more of a crosswind and didn't expect the headwind coming back. What would you do differently?: Push harder on the out. Transition 2
Comments: Okay time. Little slow as I was wear testing the next years Brooks Defyance 4's and just kept shoe strings instead of putting in yankz. Probably only cost a few seconds. What would you do differently?: Yankz Run
Comments: The heat really got to me about a mile in. The sun was brutal and I wasn't ready for it. I was hoping to do about 46 in the run so I wasn't too far off. Lots of great volunteers and lots of fun. What would you do differently?: Take a GU at transition for an energy boost. Post race
Warm down: Water, pizza, beer What limited your ability to perform faster: Heat and wind. Event comments: Keith made the right decision in canceling the swim. Always best to error on the side of caution and it would have been difficult to support this swim with the high winds. I was disappointed as this swim leg was going to be a measurement of my swim ability for the IronStar HIM. But we all still had a great time and made the best of an otherwise beautiful Texas day! Stayed in Texas City. Oly was at 8:30 but came in early to cheer for the Sprinters at 7am.
Stretched multiple times as the race kept getting pushed back and then the swim portion was eventually canceled.
High winds was the reason/
