Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 4:15am and had OJ and waffle and PB. Drove to Woodlands.

A little rubbing at first, but died down after 200 yds. After we started to come back toward the dock got a little wide just following other swimmers instead of sighting buoys.

Follow buoys and not swimmers

This is race is perfect. Well run, great swag, and awesome post race food/drink. Puts Lonestar Olympic to shame !! (hate to be rude but only getting a shirt, handing out warm water at finish line, serving Sam's Cola just make me appreciate this gem of a race even more)

You're right Matt, the support at this race is second to none! My sister is 9 months pregnant and came out to spectate.  She was able to stay the entire time due to the free water and clean bathrooms, she had a great time!

I will def be doing this race again!!  Congrats on your solid finish!
