Pre-race routine:

Sat in car until about 10 mins before the start. Kept taking sips of water.
Event warmup:

Jogged to the start and did a few short sprints along the way plus a few stretches waiting for the start. Then just tried to stay warm as it was cold and windy.

Comments:

Once I settled into my running I started to focus on the person infront of me and tried to catch them! Wind was behind us, which was good as it was a bit strong.
What would you do differently?:

Not start off so quick! Got a bit carried away trying to pass people due to me starting near the back. Probably won't start so far back next time either.
Post race
Warm down:

As this race finished in a different place to where we started, I jogged back to my car along the route I had just run!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Probably started off too quick and I also put too much effort into getting up the only hill on the course while attempting to pass a couple of people!

Event comments:

Really enjoyed this race. It's very informal but is well organised and everyone is very friendly. Plus I did a PB!

Performance: Good
Course: Run starts off along a short stretch of road before turning off and going up a short incline onto the sea wall embankment. The run is then on concrete apart from a small section that takes you across soft sand and up a short hill, which is a bit rough underfoot. Apart from that bit its a flat route and the wind is usually behind you - which it was for this race.
