Comments: I ran well. One thing that I did realize is not to lead during a trail run. Let otehr people pass you. Just like drafting in Tri it play a advantage if you are mapping out the couse and someone can follow your line. 1st off you take the brunt of the course and do all the work for those behind you. 2nd you tend to pace alot faster than you would. 3rd you tire quicker. What would you do differently?: Not drink excessively the night before Post race
Warm down: After we finished the race we decided to continue and finish the long course (additional 10 miles). We did it as a team and did a 50% hik 50% run. It was amazing and I felt strong even after the long fast 5 mile course. We got back and we stretch and had some great food What limited your ability to perform faster: Leading the pack in the trail run along with drinking the night before the race. Event comments: i will do this race again without thinking about it. Its a unbelievable course and is only open to the public once a year Last updated: 2005-06-06 12:00 AM

I mistakenly drank a little bit to much the night before. This wasn't planned but I did meet a sweet girl and got a date out of it so it was worth it.
All morning I hydrated and hydrated myself....I drank a lot of water
Stretched, drank some gatorade, filled water bottles
