Comments: Well, there were about 3500 people at the race. It took about 90-120 seconds after the gun went off to get to the start line. So in theory the timing chip should have started me then, but it seems everyone got the same start time. So in theory, I could have a shorter time, which as long as it was a minute shorter, would be a PR for me, I think. Anyhow. First mile was flat and down hill. Lots of weaving to get past the walkers that started at the front, and slower people that also started at the front. Second mile had a decent hill, and a decent downhill. Third mile had a decent hill and then flat to the finish. This was a pretty good set up, especially with all the people that were doing it. Mostly road running, with the whole road shut down. I'm pretty happy with my time. I would really like to know what my "actual" time was from start to finish instead of counting in the time that I was just standing there waiting for the crowd to move. But it really isn't that important really. What would you do differently?: Start at the front like all the other slow people and not in the place where I should be based on pace like I was supposed to. Post race
Warm down: Stood in line to drop off my timing chip. Major congestion here, so I ducked the rope and dropped the thing off, then left. Last updated: 2010-04-19 12:00 AM

Rode to the race site with a co-worker and his wife.
Brisk walk towards the start line. Then a jog to the race number pick up location.
