Transition 2
  • 01m 10s
Comments:

I dropped my hat on the way out of transition. That cost me a few seconds but would not have affected my results anyway.
What would you do differently?:

Hold onto my hat!
Run
  • 16m 15s
  • 2 miles
  • 08m 07s  min/mile
Comments:

I think I could have pushed myself a bit more. I had way too much kick left at the finish and did not get that nauseau feeling until 100 yards left to go. A sign that I could have been pushing a bit more earlier in the run.
What would you do differently?:

Push myself a little harder.
Post race
Warm down:

Grabbed some Pure Sport and had a beer chaser.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I took the last few weeks off from training because of work.

I'm happy that it looks like I did not lose that much fitness as a result.

Event comments:

This is an extremely well run event.

Thanks for posting a report on this one, I was driving up 35 yesterday morning and saw everyone heading out on the bike course.  How was the swim?  I saw they have another one here later in the summer and it just seems the water would get pretty warm, muddy and well just nasty.

Thanks...Lynn

I think you summed up the water perfectly Smile

Except for the water quality, it is a fun place to do a tri.
