I know...I came here expecting "nice" weather...and got this...

I guess its better than Edmonton and snow?

I don't think I've done a bike this month yet where I haven't been rained on...

Me.  It rains if I commute by bike.  Mother Nature is stubborn, but I'm committed and will win in the long run!

Are you racing the bastion square grand prix?  Which division?  I'll be out spectating for sure.  I've always wanted to come out and watch but seem to always have other things going on in past years that conflict.

Yep, the Sooke Road race on Saturday and the Bastion Square Grand Prix on Sunday. I'm in the women 1/2/3 category at noon. I'll be hanging around afterwards too as my SO is in the Men's 1/2 category at 1:00pm. If you are there, hopefully I'll spot you so I can come and say hi.

Summer finally hit us on the south island last week...

Odd how everyone complains that it's too cold, but then once it gets hot it's the opposite.

All I can see is thank godness for outdoor swimming weather sans wetsuit.

Same issue here on Vancouver's North Shore...
June .. everyone complained about the cold, wet, gray, cloudy weather..
July

Week 1 .. summer arrives with a vengeance.. suddenly it is too hot, too sunny, not enough breeze..
Week 2 .. seasonable temps.. and everyone (aside from us run, bike types).. is on about how summer is over.. and it was great while it lasted..

Weather... and complaining about it.. are about as Canadian as hockey and maple syrup

YUP!

I have to say I *really* miss Vancouver weather!  I was there for a week in June and such amazing cool weather to run in.  Here it's 30 degrees with 100% humidity ugh!
