Event warmup:

Ran into a friend and fellow Tri team mate. Stretched and chatted. Found out we run at a similar pace, so it was fun to race with a partner

Comments:

My first roadrace over two years. I kept the pace stady and worked on being patient. IT band felt fine.

The race is organized by the local Recreation Dept. and they did a great job. There was a 1-mile kid's fun run first. It was a fun race and I'll be back next year
What would you do differently?:

nothing.

Event comments:

The race kicked off a full day's workth of July 4th activities -- a doll carriage bicycle parade, hot air balloon rides, lawn games, live music. Great Day!
