I have a question (and am hoping someone answers, ha). This will be my first triathlon, so I was wondering about outfits and how to wear them for each part of the event. Does one change into cycling clothes after swimming, or do you just swim, bike, and run all the way in a tri suit?

Hi there.  Monster is a good race, at least the one in Keller.  I have done it several times.  Not sure about Monster 2, but I am sure it will be as fun.

For races shorter than an IM, there is no need to change.  Preferably you will want to weat tri shorts and a tri top in the pool, then jump on the bike.  Trying to put on wet clothes in T1 is not fun

Yes putting on wet clothes is hard.  It is also difficult to put dry clothes on a wet body!

Thanks for the tips! What about the costumes? Have you ever wore one to this event?

I did this race last year...lots of fun.  It was a little chilly for the ride but I guess that is to be expected for a late season race.  the run on the Bear Creek Trail system is great (but I'm a bit biased since those are my "home" running trails).  Didn't do a costume then...not planning on it this year either...I guess I'm just boring!
