Comments: Strategy: Start fast, get ahead of as many people as I could for the first mile. I ran the race with Grant Kiba and knowing that he runs fast, I decided to start by staying close to him and then settle into a pace that I could hold for the remainder of the run. I think I had a good race with enough left in me to do a short sprint at the end to pass up woman #2 in the 5K. Post race
Warm down: Walk around for 10 minutes, drinking water and lemonade. Drank post-race shake on the way home. We left 10 minutes after the end. What limited your ability to perform faster: Training. Event comments: Race started 2 hours late!! Last updated: 2010-06-19 12:00 AM

Race started 2 hours late!!! So Grant and I ended up warming up 2 or 3 different times because we thought the race was going to start, but they kept delaying it.
Jogged around a bit and did 3 or 4 strides.
