Comments: I hate beach starts. I wade in slowly and get caught up in traffic. I need to get some more speed, but I was out of the water in 15' so I got my 2'/100m average I was shooting for. What would you do differently?: Start out faster. Transition 1
Comments: I need to work on this, but not too bad Bike
Comments: Overall a good ride. Beat my 20mph average I was shooting for. Transition 2
Comments: Hopped off my bike and my calves immediately cramped. I almost fell over. I have never had that happen before. Maybe the lack of sleep and overall fatigue. I totally trained over the distance so I doubt it was a lack of fitness. Then I hobbled through Transition and had a horribly long T2. I should be well under 1:00. Run
Comments: The first mile I was shuffling and trying to avoid both calves cramping and locking up. I have never had this, but after the first mile they were fine. My first mile was at 8:00 then 7:06 then 6:45. Post race
Warm down: Walked around What limited your ability to perform faster: My darn calves cramping. If not for this, I would have been at least 2 minutes faster. Still would have been 4th in my AG. Last updated: 2010-06-07 12:00 AM

I worked from 10pm until 5:45am then drove to the race venue to find it storming. The race was delayed an hour until 9:00. I was beat before it started.
Quick swim and ran around dodging raindrops.
