Subject: garmin and power tap
to those that have this setup.  do you ever find that you might have a different number of watts shown once you download the data versus what the watch is showing.

I did an interval session, watch is setup to show ave lap watts, lap time, watts and zone.  so obviously i will use ave lap watts for interval session, so my 5' intervals were .95 FT.  so i hit exactly the wattage, but when i downloaded into WKO+ they were off by 4-5 watts.

what gives?

Yes I find them different as well.

As I understand it, the display on Garmin excludes zeros. Read this for more information and help.

After I got my 310xt I often used it and my little yellow PT computer for same ride and found they were slightly different. Now that I have a Quarq I find 310 frustrating and am looking at getting a Joule as it can be set up many different ways like LYC and then add in if, vi and TSS...sweet computer!

thanks great article.

wow the joule is a sweet little computer...just not sure i would drop that kind of $$$....but damn it does give you some awsome stuff....TSS score, interval sessions.

yeah...the 310xt has some limitations.  Which is why I opted for the garmin 500 (I don't prefer not to run with a clunker on my wrist anyway).
