Head to Hoover - JChristoff can chime in and tell you how to get there from Gahanna.

Where exactly in Gahanna are you starting? It's kind of a big place. If you aren't too far south of 161, it's probably best to head north and get out of town onto the roads around 605 and Center Village.

If you are on the east part, a Granville ride might be in the cards.

A fun place to search for riding routes is MapMyRide.com

W Johnstown/Stygler/62 area.  Was thinking about heading east on 62/317/Havens Corners until it deadends into CR41 east of Taylor Road.  Then heading north towards 161; probably something like a 30mile round trip?

I am up for joining anyone else who feels like riding this Sunday morning?  Will have to be EARLY though....I need to be at Batelle-Darby park (???) by 9:30 am(showered and smelling like roses!!)

I'm in the Northern part of Gahanna. Right where Columbus, New Albany and Gahanna collide. It is real easy for me to get out of the town and ride in the farms and horse fields. If you stick to the areas around the reservoirs (Hoover and Alum) you should be safe on the roads. Residents are used to cyclists and generally give you space. Yes there are still jerks out there that will honk, yell and get close but that is the name of the game.

If you have more specific questions I'll be glad to help... or let us know if you want to get together for a ride.

You are close to me... about 3 miles.

Ride up 62 to New Albany Country Club.
Turn left onto Greensward and follow till you reach Dublin Granville
Turn right onto Dublin Granville and then a quick left onto Harlem
Right on Walnut, left onto Miller Paul, left onto Woodtown and left onto Harlem and back home

That will be 33 miles.

I ended up taking Havens Corners until it dead-ended at Mink Road.  Mink Road south until it dead-ended at Blacklick Eastern Rd.  On my return trip I passed a guy on a Cerv headed west on Palmer Road.....anyone here?  Headed home later in the day on I71 I got passed by a black VW with a personalized TRI plate...can't recall what it said...but there was sometype of tri-bike on the roof with aerobars and seatpost cages!
