Comments:

Ran with Nicole (10 year old daughter). This is her 3rd running race (all 5ks) She took off like a shot and I had to really push my limits to keep up... the last thing I wanted was to slow her down. She's not comfortable running by herself in such a large group of strangers. As the race turned up hill for the last half, I moved in front of Nicole and paced her back to the finish.
Nicole finished 2nd in her age group and was the 11th female overall in the 5k (out of 740!) Not bad for a 10 year old.

What would you do differently?:

Training at higher intensities

Event comments:

Exccellent race, we do this one every year. This event is a huge race while maintaining the feel of a smaller neighborhood event.
