I'm going tomorrow to run part of the course. There are two big hills on the way out and one the way back. I bike it a lot, but don't run it.
Am also going to check out the water. I'm sure it's cold, but I am going to see how cold!

I am excited to race!

And excited for the AFLAC duck Laughing

Anyone know how big the race is supposed to be? There are only 4 swim waves, so guessing small race... or big waves

There was an article in the paper today (Racine Journal Times) and it said 400. And it also said they are doing at least three years here and expect it to really grow in participants.

That would be awesome! They said that's how the New York one started. Really small the first year then sold out since!

Best of luck all and I'll make sure to chalk up the "hills" with inspires for BTer's. My wife is doing it as well and is just as excited (or nervous).

If you see the donkey jersey on the course , giver her a EEEEEAAAAAWWWW!!!

Bring on the "hills"!  I am two weeks out since the Door County Half Ironman and the bluff climb during that race, plus a bike accident in the middle of it so I am up for a fun fun race!!!!!   Good luck everyone!

Also, for those of you who live in the area, where can't you bring your dog in the city?  Any places in particular?

I believe as long as on a leash the only place off limits is the actual beach. Couple downtown shop owners have dogs inside the shops and the walking paths are dog friendly with "doggie bag" stations every so often.

Thanks for getting back to me.  I'll keep an eye out for a sign.  My parents have a cute Pom that is coming along and I was just wondering!
