Subject: Savannah Rock 'n' Roll Marathon
It's being officially announced today that Savannah will get one of the Rock 'n' Roll marathons next year. The race won't be until November 5th, 2011, but this is big news for running down here. It's gonna be a super flat run. With a few half mary's under my belt, maybe this will have to be my first full...

yay! Another marathon to add to my to do list of Ga marathons. I guess this means though that the Tybee one is never coming back.

This looks like just enough time for me to recover from the tri season and complete this marathon slowly and miserably.  Perfect!

Probably...it's been a half marathon and 5k for a couple years now and I don't think there are any plans to change that.

That sounds really cool.  Too bad R n' R is notoriously overpriced.  But.....I tend to agree that it would be a fun first one.

Anyone who is interested in running RNR Savannah Marathon register now.   The RnR website states that the first 500 get the price of $65.  Pretty decent price for a RnR.  The regular price is $85 - not bad but it gradually goes up until Expo price of $145.

Good thought about Tybee.  I kept putting that one off and now it may never be again.

Said WTH and signed up. It is my home town so I would have signed up at some point, might as well get the low price.

Active adds $6.95 to $65. Jeesshhh.....
