Swim
Comments: Swim was better than I expected. I have not done any OWS this year so I was kinda nervous. What would you do differently?: Swim more and get in some OWS with the tri club. Also I hung back some and then started. I would not do that again if I do SheRox next year. I kept getting boxed in by a few swimmers who kept doing breaststroke. I got kicked in the chest a few times too. Transition 1
Comments: My rack in transition was at a good spot to find. Bike
Comments: I know I need to bike more but I also felt as though my bike was holding me back. What would you do differently?: Need to bike more! Hoping to have a road bike by the end of the month too. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Most of my training has been running since I decided just a few weeks out to do this tri. I have been focused on the Philly marathon. I was pleased with my run. I know I am not a fast runner and this pace was really good for me after swimming and biking. What would you do differently?: Work on getting faster Post race
Warm down: Nothing specific. Found John and hung out with a few friends before they opened up transition. Grabbed something to drink. Grabbed my stuff and got out of there before the skies opened up! Woke up around 5, had a cup of coffee and some oatmeal for breakfast. Loaded the car and left the house around 6. Got to the race site and had about 1/2 mile walk from the parking lot. Set up transition, hung out with John, chatted with my aunt (doing the run for a relay) and found some of the ladies from my tri club.
Did some stretching, nothing crazy.
