Comments:

Can't based my swim time because the distance was much shorter than this, I usually swim 1.5k swin anywhere from 26-30 mins. No way I improved that much that quick...

I beleive the swim course was 400 yards short, who knows???

Comments:

Distance on bike leg was advertised as 22.4 miles I changed it to what my Garmin said..Lost my chain going up one hil during a gear change so lost some time having to put this back on..
What would you do differently?:

Just continue to push as hard as I can and get my avg. up.. Always room for improvement.

Comments:

Had good time I felt.. deceided to go sockless during run so this helped with time..
What would you do differently?:

Nothing really...

  • 09m 07s  min/mile
Comments:

Felt good during the run, took my time again from my garmin and adjusted the run distance..
What would you do differently?:

Just continue to work on form and getfaster over time..
Post race
Warm down:

Drink some water, bagel and a banana.. Chilled in the shade and waited on friends to cross the finish line..

Event comments:

This race was very disorganized.Nothing like changing the bike course the day of the even..All three disciplines were much shorter than advertised..No timing chips.. Bike and run courses were poorly marked, people cutting corners,etc..For an USAT event I didn't see one race official no where..To Bad because the location of the event is a great place for a race..

Timmy,

Sorry to hear you had another race that was not well organized and had the distances way off.  That can be very frustrating, but what are you gonna do?  The bottom line is it looks like you gave it a great effort and now you know not to do this one next year.  Its too bad that you dropped your chain as I'm sure that was very frustrating.  Nonetheless, it looks like you stayed focused and didn't let it ruin your race, which is great.

4th in your age group is terrific.  As soon as we can get that run time down a bit, you're going to be finding yourself on the podium.  Smile
