Subject: RE: "short tights" VS "compression shorts" user.bt - 2010-08-10 7:46 AM
Hi,
I've decided to try "tights" for running, because I started to suffer from chafing in "inner thighs" (don't have a better name).
I saw that some are sold as "short tights" and some as "compression shorts". Is there any difference between them, or the "compression" is just a marketing thing ?
Thanks for your help, Si.
It's a spectrum. Shorts fit loosely (some very loose ), tights may be tighter or just longer, and compression shorts or tights compress, often via spandex-type bands or panels.
"Short tights" I've never heard of. Tights are always full length in my experience.
Some compression shorts don't compress much, some compress quite a bit. Things labeled "stability" or "recovery" have stronger compression.
As for brands, I like my CW_X compression shorts and tights.
My suggestion is to try them on; any quality running store will have a selection. |
