Subject: Finished my first Oly!
Raced in my first Oly today and LOVED IT!!  I even beat my "if everything goes perfectly" projected time of 2:47 by four minutes (2:43)!  I had previously finished four sprints, and really liked those too, but the Oly distance was a blast!!  I can't wait to do another one!  And bonus for the fact that I didn't get stung by a jellyfish.  I thought at one point in the swim that I had hit one with my hand, but this particular jellyfish felt suspiciously like a ziploc bag. 

Just wanted to share!

Awesome!  very good time, the wind was surprisingly hard today.  Zero jellies out there today, water was perfect, gorgeous morning for a swim!  Are you doing any of the fall tris or New Haven Road Race?

Thanks!  You're right - it was a gorgeous morning for a swim.  Actually, the weather was fabulous for the whole race (aside from that pesky wind.)  I'm signed up for Winding Trails in September (I have a few friends doing that one), and I'm going to look into some fall road races to keep things going until the off-season (i.e. winter) hits.  You?
