Just curious if those of you who rent wheels frequently change the tubes and tires to what you want before racing on them.

I going to get a disc / 808 with butyl tubes and a Conti force on the back with a zipp tangente on the front because that is how they will come.

I'm probably going to switch to my preference of latex tubes and the Vittoria Open Evo Corsa's I've been riding and like.

Is it just a mental thing or is it worth changing it out?  I like the feel of my tires and am not the biggest fan of the conti force but I know the wider tire may be better to ride on with the disc.  I rented the same combo and just raced on them as is in my last race but was thinking of changing them out this time.

any one have any opinions?

I would do the same.  The actual wheel isn't going to change how the tire sticks to the road, but a different tire could and it could have a different rolling resistance so from a handling perspective it might make sense.

That and it's only 10 minutes of work so why not.

I used what they supplied at IMAZ last year, but at a 70.3 this year I tried the exact combo you mentioned on my own wheels.  I'll be swapping them out.
