I recently went on my first deep sea fishing trip! These are a few pics of the day! I had a blast and will do it again before I leave Japan!

Me fighting with 'Big Blue', the largest catch of the day. I fought with him for 30 minutes! My left arm was pretty sore after this!

Meet Big Blue. He is a 35 pound Mahi.

ahhhh the wonders of the sea! This is Tim. He said he had too much to drink the night before. I think he was just a wimp! lol

Is that SPAM I see?

3 of the 4 fisherman (the 4th is on the camera) and our haul for the day.

Me and 'Big Blue'! For size reference, I am 6'4". This is the biggest fish I have ever caught in my life!

Me enjoying 'Big Blue'. Very tasty! Our haul fed our entire crew of 10, plus some other other crew, plus some of maintenance personnel! And we still had plenty left over!!

About 20 miles off the Okinawan coast. Water depth was about 2000 meters!

 I went tuna fishing a couple of years ago, had a blast, everyone around me was getting sick and I was doing fine until a big fat man puked on me.  I lost it!!

I didn't get sick.  It really wasn't rough until the end when a storm blew in. In Tim's defense, he had just flown in from the States the night before and had been drinking all night.  So, no sleep, full of beer and exhusted = LETS GO FISHIN'!! 

He deserved every heave he brought upon himself!  lol
