Number of races (Page 2)

Um,

1 sprint Tri, 1 oly tri, 15mi trail run, 3 Half-Mary, 1 marathon complete.

1 oly tri, 1 HIM, 1 marathon and 1 half-mary planned.

Can't train if I don't have an event planned.  (The gravity well of the couch cannot be overcome without the fear of epic fails on race day)

Everyone is different.  I've been doing 5 or so races each year.  2008 and 2009, I did 5 each, and this year I've completed 4 so far and have 3 more planned for a total of 7.  All tri's.

I usually do 4-5 summer. This year, I've only done 2 so far and only have one more tri planned. One that I want to do is the same day as my daughter's kids' tri, so that was out. I am planning on doing IM next year, so I'm trying to sort of lay low. Plus, I wasn't real organized in signing up for races this year and logistics plays into it as well.

Last year I did 5 sprints, an indoor reverse tri, and a 5K.  This year I've branched out:  2 sprints, 2 1/2mary's, a adventure race for me and my teenage daughter, and paying for and walking on my sister's first 1/2 mary.

11 last year...2 oly's 9 sprints

this year I will do 9...4 oly's 5 sprints

only planning around 6 next year, ending with my first HIM...beyond that? who knows...
