Swim
What would you do differently?: Try to get off to the side and away from the buoy line. Transition 1
What would you do differently?: Still need to practice more with T-1, slower getting suit off. Bike
Comments: I think this is my favorite bike course from the ones that I've done this year. What would you do differently?: Train harder! Transition 2
Comments: My bike was taller than the rack so it was hard to get it racked, I kept getting it hung up and couldn't get the seat over the bar. What would you do differently?: Pay more attention to how I got it out of the rack in the first place. Run
Comments: Nice fast flat course. What would you do differently?: Train harder, get that last 10 lbs off! Post race
Warm down: Just walked partway around the little lake at the finish. Then enjoyed some of the good snacks and drinks they have afterward. Also enjoyed watching the kids triathlon. What limited your ability to perform faster: Training Event comments: Really nice, fun, and friendly race. It isn't chip timed and it is a smaller race so it feels more laid back and I like that. Had a delicious chicken and rice dinner the night before, piece of toast and jam for a snack so wasn't even hungry for breakfast. Just had a cup of coffee and felt fine for the race.
Times listed are estimates, this isn't a chip timed race so this is when I looked at my HR monitor.
Walked through transition and out to the road and down to the water a couple times. Very cold, got into the water just a few minutes before the start, swam a bit back and forth.
