Subject: RE: Night before meal ideas I would avoid "heavy" foods. What's heavy? I'm thinking steak, hamburgers, stuffed baked potato, cream sauces, massive amounts of dairy, etc. At the same time, I might cut back on the fiber intake (vegetables & fruit ). I generally eat a pasta based meal while avoiding the "heavy" sauces, i.e. alfredo. Spaghetti with marinara is an easy go-to. Throw a little tofu or lean hamburger/turkey in there, and you've got a pretty nice meal, carb + lean protein. And Hydrate Hydrate Hydrate...now's the time to start. Quantity wise, I eat about what I'd eat on a non-heavy training day. So, if I eat 2500 calories a day normally, then about 1/3 - 1/4 of those would be for supper. That would be about 800 - 600 calories for supper. |
