Total Time = 2h 24m 4s
Overall Rank = 2/5Teams
Age Group = 120+
Age Group Rank = 1/2Teams
Pre-race routine:

I put "other" in type of Tri because there is no Team category. Didn't really do too much. Ate a breakfast of cereal and a Hammer Gel before the start of the swim.
Event warmup:

Rode my bike up/down the road while swimmer was in the water.
Swim
  • 21m 47s
  • 1640 yards
  • 01m 20s / 100 yards
Comments:

He was less than 2 minutes behind Pro Keven Everett and 35 seconds behind Kyle Grisham. Unbelievable!!!! So when I say he was 3rd overall, that means all men not just team men.
What would you do differently?:

Wait for the Team gun!!!

Comments:

I did have a great head start although several young bucks passed me...that's OK..I thought my ride was awesome!
I ranked myself 1st in AG for teams and 2nd for teams overall. There were 2 teams in our AG 120yrs+, and 11 teams all together including women and coed.
Did want to put my AG and Overall ranking even though I didn't swim..5/11 AG and 66/205 Overall.
What would you do differently?:

Try to ride even harder!!! We're going to kick butt next year!
Transition 2

Comments:

T2 is a no brainer for teams...I tagged out runner and he took off!
Run
  • 44m 40s
  • 6.21 miles
  • 07m 11s  min/mile
Comments:

Ranking above is for Teams...this was a substitute runner but he was obviously awesome!
Post race
Warm down:
