Subject: RE: Good indoor trainer? I have this one (or the Performance version) as well as the Cyclops Fluid2. Both work just fine. In fact, in some ways the mag trainer is a bit more flexible. The variable resistance allows you to work on high speed cadence drills, etc. The resistance on the fluid trainer ramps up much more steeply than the mag trainer. That's good for just sitting a pedaling because it's similar to what you'd experience in a real ride. It's tough to find a gear light enough to spin up to 150 rpms, though. The only problem with the Nashbar trainer is that it's not the most stable thing in the world. Be careful if you try to 'sprint' on it. You wouldn't want to crash on a stationary bike! |
