If you could buy what ever you wanted when it comes to GPS Watches, that could be used for running and Biking what would you buy? I have had a Garmin Forerunner 305 for 4 years and have been pretty pleased but it has frozen up on me, so I am now forced to buy something new. Any reccomendations?

I love my 310XT, but it's not really a watch. Then again, neither is the 305. I just got my wife the 405, which has a watch function along with the GPS stuff. Haven't received it yet, so don't know how good it is.

I've got the 305 as well and would go for the 310XT if anything happened to it.  May actually get it if I decide to do an ironman next year.  BTW have to tried to do a hard reset on the 305?  Had to do that to my wife's one time.

I'd get the 310xt and will when my 305 passes onto its next life

I have tried a hard reset, nothing. I have done the hard reset many times before and it always worked, I guess its time for another training device. Sounds like the 310 xt is being reccomended. I need to use it for biking and running like I did with the 305.

This decision isn't that hard as there are so few choices.  Get the 405 if you want something you can actually wear as a watch, don't need more than 7-8hrs of battery, and don't mind that the nifty touch bezel doesn't work well when things get wet.  Get the 310 if you want it all, and don't mind wearing a laptop on your wrist.
