Comments: I am very, very happy with the way I ran today. Bobby said that I would become a runner today and I feel like I did. I didn't once let up and I pushed as hard as I could through the tough miles and left it all out there on the course. This is a quote from a race report I wrote after my second HIM... the closest I have come to going sub 6 hours in 2008: "I got over that though and told myself that if I could just average 10:30 miles the rest of the way, I would finish in my goal time... that didn't happen. I tried reaching down for something deep inside, but there was nothing there." Now, I know that there is something there, I was just too afraid to look for it in the past. I become a runner today. What would you do differently?: Not much. Post race
Warm down: Walked back to the car, took in lots of fluids. What limited your ability to perform faster: It was too freakin hot. I mean really, it shouldn't be 80 degrees on September 25th... Last updated: 2010-08-08 12:00 AM

Got up at around 5am got dressed and headed out to Northport. I at a bagel on the way and had a cup of coffee. Got to the race and hung out with Bobby and Bill, walked around and talked a bit before we warmed up.
Ran about 1/4 of a mile down a hill and back up with Bobby.
