Swim
Comments: Started out too easy and lost track of the main break away group. Did not take advantage of my strong event. What would you do differently?: Pushed a little harder in the swim. Needed to be a minute of so faster. Transition 1
Comments: Made my first flying mount. Went well. Had a little trouble getting into right shoe. Was worried about the merge on to the 2 loop course. What would you do differently?: Nothing Bike
Comments: Was a little nervous on the first loop because of the number of people. A lot of 20-25 age groupers on their second lap really gunning it. They were packed up and flying by. Tried not to get run over or get caught drafting. What would you do differently?: Work first loop a bit harder. Transition 2
Comments: Ran past my postion and lost around 10 seconds. What would you do differently?: Look at towels not the rack numbers. Run
Comments: Felt really good coming off bike and held that until the last mile. Tried to stay calm for first 3 miles and did a good job. At mile 4 I tried to pick up the pace and really did not have it. However, first 4 miles were good enough that I was able to maintain what I had and finish with my best 10 K time. What would you do differently?: Nothing Post race
Warm down: Nothing and I am paying for it 2 days later. What limited your ability to perform faster: Experience at a big race like this. Poor decision making on swima and bike. It may have helped my run but I should have pushed harder. However, it was a great race so I am happy. Event comments: Only averaqe because rack space for our age group did not give us room to run out. Also had no offials a dismount line and a lot of people crashed. Last updated: 2010-07-22 12:00 AM

Got to race site at 6:00 Set up and ate cliff bar, banana and drank my heed. Watched a bit of first wave then went for a warm up run.
1 mile jog and around a 200 swim.
