Hmm...it looks that way. Or they just haven't updated the website. I did the 50k this year and it was a blast! Might look into that?

I don't think they've updated their site yet...still showing 9/11 date which would not be the case in 2011.  I know a couple folks associated with DWD, I can check, but they don't know what teams from this year are returning so they probably have no idea how many open slots there will be.  Not many, that is sure.

Email I have from The Canadian Chick states that returning teams have to pay the $450 by 1/31 next year to secure a spot, before they will open it up to new teams.

Now, where in the HELL are Sadler's picture!?!?!?!?  I am dying to see what morons my team and I looked like!

Yep, that's Dawn...that's who I was gonna call anyway.  They'll probably have a few open spots, and if not, you should be able to find a team looking for runners.  We had two teams there this year and had openings up until about a week prior.  It was cool and damp this year but was still a lot of fun.

They'll probably have a few open spots, .

At the 2009 sign-up run, they had to turn away over 250 teams. The new process is that, as always, returning Teams are in automatically, but now they have to pay by 1/31, then they open it up, HOWEVER, keep in mind that people who volunteered for this years race get first crack at the open spots.

Thanks for the intel.  I guess I'll be online around the first week of febuary looking to see if I can get a team in.  If not then maybe I'll cruz here for someone looking for a medium slow guy with a totally inapropriate sense of humor and a willingness to push his limits.

You'd fit right in on either of our teams.  I'll post here if we're looking for a team member.  Hopefully you'll be lucky and get in.
