Subject: hello all!!!
hi, im art from the philipiines, i started in triathlon back in 2004 but stopped after a year due to work load and then started back again in 2008 (lastyera) before that i have only done short distances, sprint being the longest, but since i started training in march 2009, i have done countless events starting with an olympic distance in may several sprint distances in june and july, several run events 10k, 15k, 21k runs, leading up to my first 70.3 in august (cobra ironman) with a sub 6:30 first time try,  then a few more sprints and olympic distances from august to november where i competed for a podium finish @ White rock Long distance Tri (70.3 distance) with  PR of 5:38 (big improvement i guess from my 6:28 finish @cobra ironman), then competed @ Langkawi malaysia or my first full IM, ( theres a story to tell on my first IM, it was painful but i stock it out to finish the race in 15:30, but i will save that for another day). In 2010, i ve raced so many events starting with another podium finish in january (olympic distance, Speedo Nagt age group Tri), May (Subic intl tri), August (2nd cobra 70.3, PR 6:08), a bunch of short distances but twice over (Enduro races two times sprint), gearing up for my 2nd White Rock long dist Tri, in november, the three weeks after will compete @ the ASIAN Championships in phuket (championship division)....whew id say this year was jampacked for me and im just starting out, can wait for 2011 where i got picked to run the tokyo marathon and still waiting for IM CHINA>>>>

Hi Art! Welcome to the SEA forum and congrats on your amazing tri success!

I was slated to do As-Pac 70.3 as well in Phuket but have just gone through a really horrendous tropical virus ... now I'm starting from scratch.

Actually, glad you posted, I'm going to look into whether I can transfer my spot.

Good luck to you and keep checking in and telling us how you're doing!
