Subject: RE: Pre=pay phone Puppetmaster - 2010-10-19 1:54 PM So it’s time for me to say good bye to my cell phone. I only really need it when I am on my bike. So far this year my largest amount of minutes used is 33 minutes in one month. So far this month I am at 3 minutes. There are lots of 15 to 20 minute months. I pay $43 a month roughly with taxes. Here is my question I still want to have one to carry on the bike and when we are out and someone is watching my daughter. Any suggestions on what to get that I only pay for the minutes I use? Joe I take it you're in the U.S.? I had a really good experience with Tracfone ... cheap, easy, etc. And I used it as my main phone. I think the starting package (well, I did get it a few years ago ) was 29.99, which included a perfectly compact, functional phone and 60 minutes. They also send you 'specials' all the time in e-mails where it's easy to get extra free minutes (and no, they don't expire in like two weeks ). |
