I actually think the race looks really fun. This is only my third season and I have never done a point to point race so maybe I will change my tune after doing the race, but the bike course and run should have interesting scenery. It will definitely be a change of pace from the normal courses in central OH.

I'm at least going to give it a chance.

I agree. It looks interesting, but logistically, with a husband and kids, it wouldn't be very fun for them to park, watch, get back in the car, park, watch, repeat...

I'm interested to read the race reports already!

Are they going to handle this like Flag City tri in Findlay, it was a 2 transition area race, and when you went back to T1 to get your gear after the race, they took everything and threw into one big pile, people complained but I heard nothing back in reference to it. All our gear is expensive, and the RD also races their races, so he knows the value of it. I be mad if I went back to Alum Creek to find another large pile of stuff thrown all over the place.

The website says you will be provided with an equipment bag for T1, to put your googles, wetsuit, etc in. They will take the bags to T2 and you can claim them there after the race.

I live 20 mins from Alum creek and have ridden on 36/37. Its not bag, but bring a spare tire. There is a lot of stuff on the road. BUT if anyone wants crash space, I have plenty of room.
